Not really I'd like something more in depth
1.) Define your style & preferences
ex. Candid, Traditional, or Artsistic? Ask yourself what do I like? What am I drawn towards?
What emotions do you want captured? Your smile & emotions, the emotions of others?
Align with your love story.
2.) Set a budget
Invest in memories, Investing in a wedding photographer is a no brainer...you have these memories for life.
Include extra costs (travel, albums) Some photographers cost a little extra if they fit everything you're looking for invest in them.
Know quality standards! I know wedding photographers can be expensive, but remember you get what you pay for to a certain extent. If you want cheap don't be disappointed if the photos aren't want you wanted or love...
3.) Research Photographers
Match style, value, & personality (think will they be a good fit for me and I for them?)
Review portfolios and testimonials! make sure they even have some somewhat relevent testimonies/reviews
Prioritise connection and experience. EXPERIENCE IS HUGE. Photos don't lie and in order to be comfortable and to make sure everything goes smoothly make sure you enjoy and like the experience your photographer is providing. Are they quick with responding? do they allow you to schdeule phone calls and ask questions etc.
4.) Create a shortlist & schedule consultations
Narrow down top choices.
Look for genuine passion. You want someone who truly loves what they do and doesn't just say it....
Meet virtually, in person, or over phone call. Dont be afraid to reach out and have questions and see if they're the right fit for you.
5.) Understand the contract
Review payment, deliverables, and policies. This is YOUR day make sure you know what you're getting and if there are any extra fees etc.
Ask questions for clarity. ALWAYS ASK. never feel like you can't ask questions.
Ensure mutual agreement.
6.) Finalize & Book
Confirm avalibility
Ask specific questions you want answers to!
Sign the contract
Book early for peace of mind.
